Kayak fishing trips will be taken in our fully rigged Hobie Outback kayaks. With a comfortable raised seat and pedal drive for easy, hands free fishing, there is no kayak better suited for chasing trout in our deep mountain lakes.
Depending on the season and weather, we could be trolling, casting, or jigging. Each kayak will be set up for the exact type of fishing we are doing for maximum comfort and efficiency.
All kayak fishing trips are catered to individual skill level and experience. No experience necessary!

Full Day Trip
We'll go out and fish all morning, prepare fresh fish for lunch, then fish a few more hours in the afternoon. Full day trips are recommended for spring and fall.
$400 single angler, $75 per additional, 3 anglers maximum
Can I keep my fish?
There are lakes that can handle selective harvest, there are lakes that we prefer to practice catch and release. We will keep a fish or two for lunch on a full day trip.
Although we are not out to fill our coolers with fish every day, your license money is used towards stocking...if you want a few fish for a meal, we'll clean and package them at the end of the day.
Where do we meet?
Depending on the lake we are fishing, we could be meeting at a landing, canoe/kayak launch, or a private launch. If it's convenient for you, we can even launch from your waterfront vacation rental. You will receive detailed directions from your guide prior to your trip.
I've never fished from a kayak. Is it difficult?
Anybody can do it. With so many different places to fish, and so many species to fish for, we cater each trip to the angler's skill level and group size.
Is there cell service in the area?
Some parts of Santeetlah have coverage, but don't count on it. Your guide will always carry a satellite communication device for emergencies or urgent matters.
